Call out for spaces

I’m always looking for interesting spaces, whether that be to make brand new work in situ that directly responds to that particular space; to show existing work in the context of different environments; to experiment with developing processes, ideas and materials in a space bigger than my small studio or to document work in progress.

Please get in touch if you might be able to help with an interesting space! I’m open to all sorts of opportunities, which for example could be very short-term gaps in gallery or other creative space programming through to small periods of time in unusual, empty, underused or meanwhile spaces.

To date I’ve really enjoyed short-term productive working in spaces as diverse as a derelict print works; empty retail unit awaiting a new fit out; converted former industrial mill artist-led gallery space; university art studio space during the summer break and gallery in a disused former bank in a Georgian terrace.

Of course I’m always interested in longer-term opportunities, exhibitions, commissions, residencies and other projects too.

I’m very experienced at working independently as well as working collaboratively to ensure maximum mutual benefits flow from time spent in any given space.

To get in touch it’s holly@hollyrowanhesson.co.uk.
